Education

Want to have birds brought to your location, a trip to the Center, or birds at your virtual meeting? Our in person and virtual programs can serve your educational needs!

Education and outreach programs are offered to diverse groups of all ages:

Virtual Programs : With face to face meetings limited during this time, the Audubon Center is now offering unique and interactive online options for programs. All costs support the care, treatment, rehabilitation and release of Florida’s raptors. You can choose to have a raptor at your virtual meeting, or schedule a virtual program for your group. We also are offering special programming where you can register for a behind the scenes look into the Raptor Trauma Clinic, have Breakfast with a Bird or experience an Eagle Encounter.

School Programs: All programs are science-based and are in compliance with the Florida Sunshine State standards. Each presentation is appropriately targeted for the age group scheduled. Have a program either onsite at the Center and or your school.

Scouts: Working on a specific badge or just want a fun scout outing? We can help! We have set badge programs for a few different badges and will gladly create a program to help your scouts earn a specific badge or skill.

Homeschool Groups: We love homeschoolers! Check out the school programs page for details about the programs we offer which can be tailored to fit the ages of your homeschool group.

Adult Groups: Have a garden club, birding club, seniors group, HOA, church, rotary club or another group that’s interested in birds or the environment? We can help with programs at your meetings or host a group field trip to the Center.

Group Tours: Any group of  more than 10 people can book a group tour with a docent guide and bird ambassador encounter! We ask for a minimum of 3 weeks advanced notice.

Special Events: Want a unique place for your birthday party, wedding, corporate event? Look no farther than the Audubon Center. We can also bring birds to you at your facility!

With live bird ambassadors and hands-on activities, participants explore the relationship of people to their natural environment while discovering the role raptors play in our local ecosystems as well as how individuals can have a positive role in the environment.  At the Center or at your location, you can experience the role raptors play in all of our lives.
